  9. What is MathU?
  10. ----------------
  11. MathU is a Reverse Polish Notation (RPN) scientific and financial calculator for
  12. the Palm Computing platform. The calculator supports double precision
  13. accuracy, 25 scientific functions, 5 financial functions, 4 number bases, 4
  14. statistical functions, and has 20 memory registers (two banks of 10 each).In
  15. addition, MathU supports graffiti input, copy and paste, and international number
  16. formats.

  18. System Requirements
  19. -------------------
  20. MathU requires Palm OS 2.0 or higher, and 51K of RAM (101K including MathLib).

  22. Installation
  23. ------------
  24. To install MathU, simply unzip the archive you downloaded and use the install 
  25. tool (or equivalent) to install both mathu.prc and MathLib.prc on your Palm 
  26. device. You might also consider assigning the calculator button to bring 
  27. up MathU instead of the default calculator after syncing.

  29. MathU requires MathLib.prc to be installed on the Palm Pilot. If you already 
  30. have MathLib installed on your Palm device from some other program you don't need to 
  31. install it again. MathLib is not part of MathU. MathLib is a free shared library 
  32. that can be used by any OS 2.0 Palm program that needs IEEE 754 double precision 
  33. math functions. It's distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License, 
  34. and is freely available with full source code and documentation at the MathLib 
  35. Information web page (http://www.probe.net/~rhuebner/mathlib.html). It is not a part 
  36. of MathU, and you're not paying anything for its use; a copy is simply included
  37. in the archive for your convenience.
